Small, hand-twisted and made for two, this copper Tree of Life carries 88 natural white freshwater pearls of 8 mm along 22 fine branches. We twist the whole tree by hand from 13 m (43 ft) of pure copper wire. At the base, the copper roots spread over decorative stones in a small ceramic bowl. Pearl is the gift of the 30th wedding anniversary, and copper traditionally belongs to the 7th, so one tree speaks to both years. Pearl is also the birthstone of June.

LA PEREGRINA, A ROYAL PEARL AND A PUPPY
La Peregrina, the wanderer, was found in the Gulf of Panama in the 1500s and belonged to the Spanish crown for centuries. In 1969 Richard Burton bought it for Elizabeth Taylor. Soon after, she found it missing and spotted one of her puppies chewing on something: inside its mouth was the pearl, unharmed. In 2011 it sold at Christie's for 11,842,500 dollars, a world record for a pearl.
