Silver Pearl Tree – Handmade Anniversary Gift with Freshwater Pearls

Two milestones of a shared life meet in this small silver tree: silver, the gift of the 25th wedding anniversary, and pearl, the gift of the 30th. We shape it entirely by hand from silver-plated copper wire and set 46 natural freshwater pearls of 6–8 mm along its branches. The roots hold decorative stones in a round white ceramic bowl, which you can keep plain or personalize with names, a date or a photo.

COPPER AND SILVER AS ONE, SHEFFIELD 1743

Around 1743, Sheffield cutler Thomas Boulsover was repairing a knife handle when he noticed that silver and copper, heated together, fused and could be rolled out as a single metal. His discovery became Old Sheffield Plate, and his former apprentice Joseph Hancock used it to make candlesticks and teapots that shone like solid silver. Our tree keeps the same idea: a copper core with a silver surface, two metals working as one, like a good marriage.

• The exact message: write the EXACT text you want on the bowl. We print only the words you send, exactly as you write them.
• Text color: add your preferred color in brackets after the message, for example: Happy 25th Anniversary (text color silver, or an exact HEX color code).
