Pearl Anniversary Tree – Handmade Copper & Freshwater Pearl Decor

Thirty years together is the pearl wedding anniversary, known as the parelbruiloft in Dutch, the Perlenhochzeit in German, the noces de perle in French and the pärlbröllop in Swedish. This small copper tree marks it with 46 natural freshwater pearls of 6–8 mm, set by hand along branches we shape entirely from pure copper wire. The roots hold decorative stones in a round white ceramic bowl, which you can keep plain or personalize with names, a date or a photo.

THE QUEEN PEARL, NEW JERSEY 1857

In 1857, Jacob Quackenbush, a carpenter from Paterson, New Jersey, opened a freshwater mussel from Notch Brook and found a large pink pearl inside. Charles Lewis Tiffany bought it and sent it on to Paris, where it reached Empress Eugénie, the wife of Napoleon III, and became known as the Queen Pearl. The find started an American pearl rush. The pearls on this tree also grew in fresh water, slowly and layer by layer, for a couple who have built something over thirty years.

After you place your order, send us your personalization text and, for Styles 2, 3 and 4, your photo by email or chat, together with your order number.

• The exact message: write the EXACT text you want on the bowl. We print only the words you send, exactly as you write them.
• Text color: add your preferred color in brackets after the message, for example: Happy 30th Anniversary (text color copper, or an exact HEX color code).
