Celadon Hemimorphite Tree of Life – Gift for a Potter, 46 Natural Hemimorphite Stones, Copper, Silver or Gold Wire, Personalized Bowl

A handmade Hemimorphite Tree of Life in celadon green: 46 small polished natural hemimorphite spheres in pale sea green with soft white and grey flecks, like a celadon glaze fresh from the kiln. Each one is wired by hand onto a little tree set in a white ceramic bowl with white pebbles that you can personalize with a name, a studio name or a few words for someone with clay on their hands.

In crystal tradition hemimorphite is a stone of calm, creativity and self expression, and it is often linked with the sign of Pisces. Its fresh pale green feels like the Spring Equinox, when day and night are equal and the first green returns.

THE HALF-SHAPED STONE

Hemimorphite is a zinc mineral, long mined as an ore of zinc, the metal whose oxide is a familiar ingredient in pottery glazes. Its name comes from the Greek hemi, half, and morphe, shape, because its crystals are hemimorphic: the two ends of a single crystal grow in different shapes, one often flat and the other pointed.
