Each one is wired by hand onto a little tree set in a white ceramic bowl with white pebbles that you can personalize with a name, a favourite photo or a few words for someone who is always chasing the light.

Moonstone is a birthstone of June, and in crystal tradition it is a stone of intuition, new beginnings and gentle light, often linked with the sign of Virgo. Its warm glow suits the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival, when families gather to admire the full moon.

THE GLOW FROM THE ADULA MOUNTAINS

The soft light that seems to float inside moonstone has its own name: adularescence. It comes from adularia, a moonstone feldspar named in 1780 by Ermenegildo Pini after the Adula massif in the Swiss Alps, near the St Gotthard. The glow is made by very thin layers of two feldspars inside the stone, which scatter the light like the moon behind a cloud.
