Large Lapis Lazuli Tree of Life – 9th Anniversary Gift for Wife or Husband, 280 Natural Lapis Lazuli Stones, Copper, Silver or Gold Wire, Personalized Bowl

A large handmade Lapis Lazuli Tree of Life in royal blue: 280 polished natural lapis lazuli spheres in medium to deep royal and denim blue, with a few darker indigo stones and some softer grey blue ones, dotted with white calcite speckles and, here and there, fine golden flecks of pyrite that sparkle as the light moves. Each one is wired by hand onto a full, generous tree set in a white ceramic bowl that you can personalize with your two names, your wedding date or a photo of the two of you.

In crystal tradition lapis lazuli is a stone of wisdom, truth and friendship, a traditional gift for a 9th wedding anniversary, and it is often linked with September birthdays and the sign of Libra. Its deep blue and gold make this tree a rich anniversary gift for a wife or a husband, and a striking piece for a study or library corner.

THE BLUE IN TUTANKHAMUN'S GOLD

On 28 October 1925 Howard Carter and his team lifted the lid of the innermost coffin of Tutankhamun in the Valley of the Kings and saw the young king's gold mask for the first time. In his journal Carter noted that the eyelids and eyebrows of the mask were inlaid with lapis lazuli. More than 3,300 years old, the deep blue stone still frames the king's eyes today, at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, and many researchers trace the lapis used in ancient Egypt to the mountains of Badakhshan in today's Afghanistan.
