Large Carnelian Tree of Life – Love Gift for Her, 280 Natural Carnelian Stones, Copper, Silver or Gold Wire, Personalized Bowl

A large handmade Carnelian Tree of Life in deep cherry red: 280 polished natural carnelian spheres in a rich red orange to dark cherry, like ripe cherries or a blood orange, translucent with a glassy glow where the light catches the edges. Each one is wired by hand onto a full, generous tree set in a white ceramic bowl that you can personalize with her name, a date that matters or a photo of the two of you.

In crystal tradition carnelian is a stone of courage, passion and confidence, and it is often linked with the fire signs Leo, Aries and Sagittarius. Its warm red makes it a bold love gift for her, a birthday present for a fire sign or a confidence boost for a new start.

THE QUEEN OF UR

In January 1928, at the Royal Cemetery of Ur in today's Iraq, the archaeologist Leonard Woolley opened the untouched tomb of Queen Puabi, who lived about 4,500 years ago. Her headdress held wreaths of gold poplar leaves separated by strings of red carnelian and blue lapis lazuli, and her upper body was covered in gold, silver, carnelian and lapis. The carnelian had travelled from far to the east, a sign of how much this warm red stone was prized. Her jewels are now in the Penn Museum in Philadelphia.
